The current practice facility is utilized by all WSU athletic programs including, soccer, men's and women’s golf, baseball, track and field, and football. The weather in the Palouse region is notorious for its unpredictability and the Taylor Sports Complex ensures our student-athletes will have a safe place to train year-round, regardless of the weather conditions outside.
In November 2022, the Board of Regents voted to move ahead with the design phase of the Taylor Sports Complex and in September 2023, the Board of Regents gave the go ahead for the capital project. WSU held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Taylor Sports Complex, Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.
On October 19, 2024, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Taylor Sports Complex was held to officially open the facility.
Construction of the Taylor Sports Complex from groundbreaking to the ribbon cutting can be found at the WSU webcam at buildings.wsu.edu and HERE.
The Taylor Sports Complex features:
- Full 120-yard field
- Improved lighting and raised ceilings
- Permanent structure
- Dedicated sprint lanes and jump pits for track and field
- Enhanced cameras, which will be able to capture multiple angles of practice
The cost of the facility is covered entirely by philanthropic support.
